First Demo

For the first demonstration we needed to create a web map using GeoServer (include SLD styling and show a base map) and create 3D and 2D maps using QGIS. I was personally at a disavantage since I have never worked with Qgis in life :(

We were all not happy with how our maps looked but presented what we had. Overall, I would recommend that any student studying GIS to familiarize themselves with various GIS softwares used for creating maps. You will thank me later!

Victoria was particularly happy with our introduction and gave us helpful pointers to help prepare for the second demo. Cameron also gave us advice on how to use QGIS so all in all, it was not a bad start. There is alot to learn and having a group that works together is very helpful.
